Instructors: Navajo weaver, Lynda Teller Pete
Students will have the opportunity to learn the art of weaving from Award winning, Master Navajo Weaver, Lynda Teller Pete originally from the Two Grey Hills, NM on the Navajo Nation. Lynda has taught Navajo Weaving for over 20 years. While instructing and demonstrating, Lynda will share personal stories and experiences, allowing students into the family’s 7 Generations of Navajo weaving. Assisted by her husband Belvin Pete, loom builder, Navajo weaving tool maker and from a Navajo weaving family.

Beginning Students – Pre-Warped 8” wide X 10” high loom:
Fees are for basic weaving instructions. The loom will be fully warped. Weaving tools and other supplies provided. Sample designs are available. Intermediate and advanced students are welcomed to attend.
Beginning students will learn how to weave a rug. Beginning students will use worsted weight wool, 1 ply, preferably from the Brown Sheep wool company, choose a combination of light and dark wool for best visual effects. At the end of class, the student will have a finished rug and left over wool to take home.
There will be extra pre-warped rugs, looms, weaving tools and wool available for sale during class
Navajo weaving class fee $425.00 per session
